Real Life Wedding - English Rose meets Scottish Thistle

Pride of Banockburn tartan
When Mandy and Russell decided to get married they decided to use ivory roses and thistles in their wedding to celebrate their English and Scottish heritage.
"Pride of Banockburn" Tartan and it's colours were used throughout the wedding

The groom, Russell, wore a Banockburn Tartan kilt
and a piper played them in to
The Finch Hatton Arms at Ewerby where they had their reception

The bride's bouquet included thistles and roses and was made by
Blooming Crafty - Jess Notly who also ddecorated the cake.

Anniefloribunda styled the wedding and dressed the room...

Children's goody bags

All of the invitations ans other stationary was made by Sophie at Occasional Heaven

We made the table plan from an upturned apple crate and tied on small bottles filled with thistles, roses and blackbird table numbers

...and finished the room off with these HUGE (3ft wide) balloons
with handmade tassles!

Love this picture of the bride, watching celebrations from the bar!
