Nicely formed

Wedding bouquets have never been so exciting!
Different shapes, sizes and materials.
Real and artificial flowers, Jewellry, feathers, paper and buttons all now play a part in dressing wedding bouquets.

Here's some unique flowers that I have made for brides...

Pretty Pastel posy made from paper and buttons for a bride with hay fever

Heart shaped bouquet using buttons and brooches
from the Victorian era to modern day jewels!

Simple, real daffodils, poshed up with some pretty vintage lace and button

Purple feathers, jewellery and buttons

Silk flowers with diamante spray and vintage brooches

Foam roses and spotty organza

Made from the pages of Romeo & Juliet -
origami flowers and leather button centres

Whatever you are having your bouquet made from, you will probably be using one of the traditional florists forms.
Which shape will you choose?

We are always happy to take on commissions for bouquets,

Alternative Bridal Bouquet....

Hi everyone! just popping by the blog to show you what i've been making whilst relegated to the sofa through illness!
I am going to be making a collection of heart shaped bridal bouquets and this is the first one...

I used a florist heart garland and covered it with netting - i then painstalkingly sewed on each individual mother of pearl button and diamante brooch!
Some lovely sparkles on here from Victorian to modern day.
A one of a kind bouquet that you can keep forever as a momento of your special day. If you cant live without it it is £98 and can be bought from my website www.anniefloribunda.com

So much sparkle!

Waiting for some inspiration...
I'm drowning under "pretties".
I have way too many buttons, beads, lace and silks
Need to use up some of what I have before I buy anymore!

Made this Christmas/Wedding decoration from some of my gold buttons...

This one's sold :-)

so am looking forward to making something out of this lot...

I feel a real vintage sparkler of a bridal bouquet coming on...
Watch this space!

Fit for Downton Abbey

OK... I know it's not real... and it's only a TV programme... but I am soooooooooo excited about Mary marrying Matthew in Downton Abbey, and when I came across the wonderful brooch to the middle of the posy - I built a Downton Abbey themed posy around it.
Hope you like it as much as I do!

I have used both vintage and antique jewellery, buttons and dress trim in it's construction.
The central brooch is left unfixed to the bouquet (so that you can unpin it each year and wear it on your anniversary, or other special occassions, to remind you of your special day).
There is a small gold glass button to the centre of each rose.

A real silver thread, dress trim, from the 1930's edges each rose and over time this trim has gained a wonderful goldish patina. Mother of pearl buttons and clear glass buttons fill any gaps.
This is a very special, one of a kind, posy - just waiting for a "Mary" to marry her "Matthew" in true Downton Abbey Style!

Only one of me in the whole wide world!
